I have previously discussed browser compatibility on this blog, however I recently stumbled across a great automatic way of testing multiple browsers. Browsershots enables you to get screenshots of your webpages on a variety of different browsers and operating systems. The advantage of Browsershots is how simple it is to use!

Once you have uploaded your webpage, you simply copy the URL into the bar provided on the Browsershot page, then tick the boxes below which let you compare various browsers running on Linux, Windows and Mac. You can also specify other criteria such as the screen size, javascript-enabled, flash-enabled etc by using the drop down option menus below the tick box section.

It will take a while for the screenshots to appear, but it is worth the wait as you will have a complete picture of how your website renders without having to download multiple browsers, or use different computers to check your web pages. The Browsershot service is free unlike many other browser testing services that sometimes charge a weekly or monthly subscription fee. Well worth bookmarking for webmasters and web developers.
