Microformats & Rich Snippets

Microformats logo I’ve been watching the development of Microformats over recent months, especially with the attention Google has been giving to them. Rich snippets are becoming increasingly more visible in Google’s search results—sometimes showing ratings, locations, address details or other useful information.

If you use Microformats on your site, you can test how your snippets could look if Google choose to pull-out the Microformatted information from your pages using Google’s Rich Snippet Testing Tool.

Here is an example using my LinkedIn profile (which uses Microformats).
